I contemplated on Genius---
Alexander, Leonardo,
Nicola Tesla, Thomas Jefferson,
I realized each of these men
Were endowed with genius.
They would be like every other man
Had not Providence blessed them
With the skills they are famous for.
While walking down the street
I felt myself physically shrink.
The world became smaller,
I became smaller, realizing
Genius followed me,
Like the Ancient Greeks understood.
Alexander was commissioned
To destroy Tyre, thus his genius.
Leonardo was commissioned to
Begin the poring out over nature and anatomy.
Thomas Jefferson was commissioned
To build a nice government for God's elect.
Nicola Tesla, also, was commissioned
To build the best comforts for God's elect.
Every Genius throughout history,
Were those endowed with providential force...
I had opened up my book of mythology,
And came right to the page
Describing monsters. And there,
It also described Prodigies.
That same day, I opened up
Right to Euclid's theorem on Odd Numbers---
Nothing could be more literary,
Yet I randomly chose it.
It was genius which follows me
And opened me up to those pages.
Not I---for that is Genius.
It does not come from within.
It builds while you are its tool.
Yet, Genius cannot save you.
It can only guide your hand in her work.
For genius belongs to everyone
Who becomes prodigious in their exercises.
That is how the Greeks understood it.
And I shall too, for by seeing
Prodigies on the page I prodigiously
Opened up to, so with it I looked up the word Prodigy
Today, and found the true meaning of genius.
Genius is not something we do---
Rather, it follows us
Like when I opened up Nietzsche
And prodigiously found the passage
Pertaining to the Lion, Dragon and Child.
Genius builds her things, and we are the tool by which she fashions.
And it was Genius who was with God at the foundation of the Worlds.
For she is Wisdom, Whom bestows upon whom God bestows.
Mark 13:51Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. 52Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
