The Pulitzer Prize is Cheap. Any Contest You Have to Pay to Enter, is Flimsy and Unreputable. Just Like Any Publisher that You Pay to Publish or Look at Your Work.

Here I thought you had to be invited,
And nominated, and all the literature published 
Was considered based on recommendation.
Nope. It's just as scandalous as an All Poetry contest
Or something on WordPress.
Frankly, I really wanted a Pulitzer Prize
Because I thought the prize would find me.
Not beg me to be so prideful as to enter my work
For a fee.
