Regarding Megan and Harry

The thing I don't understand, is that they could have simply used Anchor. When I heard that Harry and Meghan were creating a podcast for 20,000,000 dollars, that was near the time I found Anchor. Which, Anchor is a free Podcasting website. Like, you don't even have to be bought into it anymore. All the software is freely available online. Like, they can buy recording mics and figure out how to edit their videos. I know I can edit my Podcasts on Audacity--another free software. Like, I can convert video to Audio on VLC media player. Like, this is all free software. And they're certainly rich enough to buy a good recording program like Acid Pro, and some sound equipment. Like, why couldn't they do that, and not fit out 20,000,000 dollars? I don't understand why they'd put themselves at risk like that, when they could have probably generated an organic audience online for free? And then used their publicity to generate income that way, which didn't cost anything? Like by using Squarespace or Wix or something? Or the one I'm personally going to use, called Patreon. Again, free software.
