A Prophecy

LORD, I saw the people were sinning.
Great sin was in the land, so I prophesied,
"Repent, or Babylon will fall upon you."
LORD, I have no rage against You at all.
I rather wish to see Your people flourish,
Do I not? Why then do the heathen call me
The Assyrian, when all I spoke was to Your people's defense?
Should the people repent, then they would find mercy.

The Daughter of Zion shook her head at thee
And I saw it, oh King of Assyria.
As if your eyes were mine, I saw her
And knew her to be the LORD's anointed.
I have waited patiently for mercy all day
And languished upon my bed
Waiting for her godly blessing to be my possession forever.

Yet, LORD, the enemy passed through me
And caused me to hear great blasphemies.
"Is this I? I do not have hatred toward my God
"But love Him as my only God
"And I have purified the temple of my heart
"And sought Him day and night."

Therefore, my people, be like Judea
And flee the abomination,
And the Daughter shall shake her head at thine enemies.
Yet, if you do not repent, she shall be taken captive;
Thy cities shall be destroyed,
And the hook shall not go into your enemy's nose
But your own.

Therefore, repent of your abominations.
Your sorceries, your witchcrafts, your vile murders and abortions.
Flee your homosexualities, and thy adulteries
And thou shalt have your friend Zion for an inheritance.
If not, the remnant shall be brought back
From the captivity, but you shall be taken into Babylon.

Be thee Judea and not Samaria.
Again, repent from thy deep whoredoms, blasphemies and adulteries and errors!
Captious Scholars, preach the God of Jehoveh-Jireh
And not thine abomination Sin!
