What we fail to understand
About the book---since we love
To  make "Social Experiments"
And prove literature false,---
Is that we cannot reproduce
The cataclysm of an apocalypse.
We do not actually know what children
Would do, under such stress
As a catastrophic World War,
Only that we do, because the Author envisioned it.
Some men have a sick sense for things
And understand the times that would
Produce such monsters who would
Kill Piggy. It is total collapse
Which the same Psychology
Has happened in previous civilizations.
The Aztecs for sure, were good examples
Of it themselves, as were Romans and their Coliseums.
