Heterochroma

My eyes are truly blue...
Yet, blue-green they become
When I am in despair.
LORD, my eyes have darkened
Like the Psalmist there says;
I am Blue Eyed Dayfour--
Not Hazel Eyed, for joy
My eyes are blue, not green.
Yet they have darkened like
Abraham's son, Isaac;
And the LORD's anointed
David. My eyes are blue
For that means I have peace.
Now, my eyes are darkened
And blue-green, like my mom
Had told me many times.
My eyes are blue-green, for
They change color when I
Am darkened by sadness.
But, they should always be
Blue. Satan, you did this
To me. But I'll forgive you.

*A previous poem said "Hazel" but there is no brown in my eyes. My mom told me I have hazel, which she meant to say my eyes change color from blue to green. The term for it is Heterochroma, and my dad and brother both have those same eyes.
