Virtue, Genius and Reputation

Oh, virtue you are lost,
So I shall take one wife to bed
And build a cottage in the wood
And regain you, my Love.

Oh Genius you are lost,
So I shall study Euclid and Horace
And find the strings of common tongues
And all wisdoms throughout the ages.

Oh Reputation you are lost
And cannot ever be recovered.
You are gone, and in the grave.
So, by Virtue and Genius I'll be nourished.
