The King in His Beauty

I saw the King in His beauty
I saw the distant land.
The Assyrian came to kill me
Deeper speech they had which I could not understand;
And speaking with them wrought sorrows
And they could not understand me;
The scribes had all been wrong
And they that wrote down their wisdom could not be seen.
The Towers were then counted,
The Treasurer saw our debt was high.
Yet, it all came to the head,
When the LORD burned their armies alive.
