Prelude of My Life:
I
If I were to overcome the monster,
It is you, o Death, my Doppelganger.
If my life were a rags to riches tale
It would be I proved my LORD God Valid.
My life is a quest, and I seek Heaven,
More desiresome than a comely maid.
If my life were a voyage, it'd be to
Come to our current land, and see its rules.
If my life were a comedy, it'd be
That I am a bumbling love bug, too.
If my life were a tragedy, it'd be
That I will not be deceitful, so lose.
If my life were about Rebirth, it'd be
That, once wrong, I yet desire goodness.
My plot amour is love.
II
First, my call to adventure is falling in love with love.
Second, I receive wisdom of what love truly is.
Third, I meet Jorgia, the Maiden of my Dreams.
Fourth, I begin to find truth, and wisdom, and love.
Fifth, I meet my friend along the way, and he teaches me the ways of the world.
Sixth, he bombards me with Nietzsche, and Greene while I encounter many Atheists.
Seventh, I confess my life's sins, every epistle loosed from my soul.
Eighth, I learn I am not a great man, while encountered with a True Faith Preacher.
Ninth, I spend five months in jail, and two years on probation, and ten years in a shameful state.
Tenth, I find the proof of God's existence.
Eleventh, I do not know. Will I meet love, and accomplish the crux of my wisdom? Or will I perish in tragedy?
III
The characters in my life, are as follows.
The explorer, who seeks the adventurous war and cause.
The outlaw, who scorns me.
The magician, who enchants everyone around me to be my enemy.
The hero, who is Christ--not I.
The lover, where is she yet? Only in my fantasies? Or will she come?
The jester, who made my life light and free, but who teases me.
The everyman, who supped and dined with me.
The caregiver, who I would never have accomplished a thing without.
The ruler, who will neither praise nor condemn me.
The creator, who is I, the writer of this poem.
The innocent, who is brother to me.
The sage, who is my best friend.

American Diction
They call sensible speech "Word Salad"
Because it is not in a fourth grade syntax.
Words used are made five years ago
In place of better words that are ancient.
Words also don't mean anything useful
For they must mutate their definitions
To utter exactitude and nothing more.
"Autism" reigns supreme, for none want
To understand poetry... moral truth
And context clues don't exist for all
Must rightly stand on minutia upon minutia
Line upon line, here a little there a little.
Brighter Futures
Oh, keep telling yourself,
“The best is yet to come.”
I do not believe it, I do not.
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”
There is no way to will yourself into power
There is no way to get the best for yourself,
No will to power, fool… only existential awakening.
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”
Work hard, and exorcise your inner demons,
Fight hard with them within your soul
And take your armor and weaponry, and slay.
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”
Perhaps the best is to come, if you slay doubts
Or if you slay your sins through Christ’s word…
Slay them, in bloody combat. And win.
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”
I do not know, what will happen, or what beast
Will come upon me, in the meadows and the grains
And what leopard lurks in the shadows, what iron jowled beast.
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”
But it shall not touch me, for I am hidden in the LORD’s hand
And I know the best is to come in His kingdom, and not this one.
For this one is fallen, and controlled by a Wandering Lion.
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.
I work every day, to bring the truth to many souls
And want my reward to be the pavement of Heaven’s golden roads
And the gems littered on the sidewalks and Hephzibah’s Land.
“I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.”
Work hard, and work fair, and do and accomplish...
Go upon the golden roads, and work hard to accomplish.
Do not sway yourself to doubts, and do not work idly.
“I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.”
It is no Babylonian Magic, but the seed of hard work
Sown into soils, and sprouted into lush fruittrees
Of good works sown in a heart of gold, and truth.
“I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.”
Understand, it is all relative to your work, and nothing more.
All success is bred through work, and not passive wills
And do, and accomplish, and work freely and with joy.
“I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.”
The best is yet to come in Heaven's store,
And the King has granted your request, for everlasting life.
Christ Jesus is His name, and no other.
“I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.”
Worship on golden shores, and living waters
And milk and honey, and twelve thousand furlong plateaus,
And walk in Zion's Beulah Land, and be married for eternity.
“I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.
There is no other treasure, so reap what you sow upon the earth.
If evil, you reap evil, if good, you reap good.
All things come, and whether success or failure, there is an eternal kingdom.
“I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.”
Eat from the trees, with twelve fruits bearing their months
Eat the meaty fungi and lichen, and give life;
Sweet, savory foods shall be given to us there, which we do not know.
“I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.”
And then arrive, at the river of Ezekiel, and arrive
Through Christ's blood and water and spirit,
And live! Arrive, with a life of right conduct, and love and truth and mercy.
“I have arrived!” you'll say on that day, if you keep calling on one Name alone.
Will Worship
In will worship, I do my fast and observe my rites
And do the things I ought not do, for they are unkind.
I pour my drink down the drain, I burn my incense
I abstain from the pork and shellfish and to the very second
End my fast. For, I am self willed, and do it for myself
Not for others. Therefore, worship through your treatment
Of other human beings and creations, and not what
You do only for God, for that is just for yourself.
Alicia
I do not feel the deep things I once did,
But do much deeper things than I ever could.
I loved with passion my black Labrador,
But loved with deed my Yorkshire Terrier.
Youth's yens are gone, and the deep sway
Of infatuation is quenched for a holy fire
Of some deep swelling kindness and recognition
Of another's feelings and needs over my own.
I do not feel love, like I once did, and am not maddened by it
But I do love more now than I ever have in my entire life.
It is a cold spring, rather than a hot mineral water.
A Meditation on Objective Morality
If all humans disappeared, of course murder would be wrong. That's the sum of a story, is taking actions, and showing their consequences. Aesop and Grimm's are impossible, but the consequences are always true. That's generally why we read and write stories. Consider, a sausage cannot cook dinner, but if he goes out into the wild and dies, nobody can cook dinner for the household, and the other characters burn down the house. It's true, even for those pretend creations. The truth is we all have our work to do, either great or small, and not doing it leads to catastrophic failure. That's true, even if humans don't exist, because the consequences are still real.
I mean you can reduce it down to "Well the creations mimeses human behavior", yes, but that mimesis tells us something real, if it's done right. Morality is objective, it's just situational. It's based in consequences and healthy affect, and I think Christ shines so bright because His ethic proves objectively true if you are serious about studying it. You apply it holistically, it makes more sense than anything any of the other religions say.
I don't like this Christianity that just goes in circles and says, "Because God says so." Why does God say so? He has a reason.
Be Alive in Christ’s Miracle of Life
I am alive, great miracle
Alive, miracles awake
When you live for miraculous
Wonders, and feed upon life’s miracle.
Live alive, for life’s a miracle
A miracle is this life, liven
It up with the miracles so alive.
Be alive, for life’s a miracle.
Know to be alive is a miracle
And alive now, this miracle
Will liven you to the miracle
Of life’s living miracle.
It is a marvel to be alive
And to have life, is wonder
Know to live and be alive, miraculous
Is the life you live, alive in wonders.
Live life, for it’s a miracle, alive
This good miracle, awaken, and breathe
And find purpose to your wonder filled life.
For life is good, and to be alive is wonderful.
Life, the phenomenon of glory lives
And it is breath in your lungs, and miracle
Though it is, never forget living’s miraculous.
Sleep, awake, go to your day’s splendor.
Life is such a wonderful miracle
Live, and be alive, and know it is good.
The heartbeat from pulses a wonder
The breath in your lungs a splendor.
Live life, and live, and be rich in beauty
Of life’s purpose, and wonderfully live
And give your heart to wisdom and works
Of charity, for love is alive, and perfect.
Life is truly a gift, and a miraculous diadem
So be alive in full breath and glory, for the pulse is a wonder
And the wonder of life, the wonder of love, is good.
Live, and tell all your journeys, and God’s deliverance.
Get rich in truth, and rich in mercy, and live
For only by miraculous gift can you do so
And only by Christ's good power can you live.
Your heartbeat's electricity is a miracle.
Feed upon what's good, and live
And abstain from what is evil, and shun what is false
And know life is rich in mercy and blessing
And though Devils try to steal your grace, live through Christ's power.
I am alive, great miracle
Alive, miracles awaken
When you live for miraculous
Wonders, and feed upon life’s miracle.
Awaken my harp, to life's blessings
And awaken my love, to truth and echoes of purpose
And give my heart wonders of life
That I meditate on the good, and chew on life's bounty.
For I am alive, and life's a miracle
And though I am wearied by the storms, I am alive.
The storms come, they go, but life remains unchanged
A miraculous diadem in the hand of Our God.
So live, and seek righteousness all the days of your life.
Phenomenon of glory, is life's electric pulse
And the consciousness of man a glory
That the brain's cholesterol stores a lifetime.
Know life is good, and life is best when lived for others,
And be alive in their splendor, and love them truly
With truth in your innermost bones, and wonder
To immortality, in heaven's bliss.
Life truly is a miracle, and truly is a blessing
So therefore, take from it your lessons and strokes.
And complete the journey, and be thrown into the river
Of God's love, and ascend the journey to eternal life.
Cleave to Christ for life, always, and journeys made, miraculous
Vision proceeds, that troubled thoughts come, and go, so live
And do not succumb to death, that wicked angel, but live and work good!
Forget the echoes of pasts that were never yours.
Be renewed in your mind, and live for truth
Through the miraculous vision of Christ
And seek peace all your days, and goodness and mercy
And you shall be believed all your days and full of glory.
Love Christ with your whole heart, and mercy's breath
And live, do not doubt the shadows of past sins, but live in Christ's forgiveness.
For who knows if mercy will compasse you
And sustain you on your journey to life's sweet end?
Alive, alive, awake, awake, miraculous visions
Bring to life, that you have purpose in this life
And that purpose is to love your neighbor as yourself.
Purpose is a miracle, and so is love, and they are alive.
What else is alive is found in Christ's love,
And mercy and truth compasse you all,
And make you filled with Spirit's truth and alive.
For it is everlasting life He brings, a gift and miracle.
Only He can accomplish it, and only if you want
So seek the LORD's forgiveness in all things, and stay alive
And breathe, and work works of truth in your inward parts.
Love, and be sealed, and seek Forgiveness and a Name in Heaven.
I am alive, great miracle
Alive, miracles awaken
When you live for miraculous
Wonders, and feed upon life’s miracle.
Mercy's wonders are new every day
And be filled with life, and wake, and see what new mercies
Love has in store for you, and work righteousness and forgiveness
And do not shame, nor condemn, nor reap a sown field of anger.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart, if He allows
And seek Him all your days, and live, and awake, and be alive
For salvation is a miracle, and only through Him can you live.
Seek, and do not be ashamed, and live, and awaken, and see the gift.
Doubts creep in whether you should live, but awake, and know the miracle
Of life is too sweet to be embittered by dark shadows... Live in the gift
And love your LORD with everything, and perhaps He'll have mercy.
Love Him, and your Neighbor, and that is God's gift.
Genius comes from the LORD, and is a miracle, so live
And testify that He is good, and great, and you shall honestly live
And teach all sound wisdom, and alive you shall breathe
And on your last breath, breathe for eternity in the miracle of grace.
For Thanatos and Eros battle, live! You fool! Live! Life's a gift!
For Death and Life battle, live! You fool! Live! Life's a gift!
Do not give up the electro-chemical heartbeat, of life!
Live you fool! Live, and obtain the prize Mercy!
So shall I do, and forever be at peace, for peace is God's gift.
Would you not agree, that life is a miracle, and alive
We shall awaken one day to better fields, and cleaner pastures
And love our neighbors as ourselves, with perfect charity?
So free yourself from the chains of unforgiveness, and be alive
Through Christ's grace, for only by miracle can you unyoke
Yourself from the burdens of malaise and darkness; be alive you fool!
And find mercy, peace and wisdom, the gifts from God.
One last thing I say, before I let off, is to be alive is a miracle
The chemical of electricity, the spirit of love, the conscience of man
It is what we're made of, the Blood, the Spirit and the Water.
So live, one last thing I tell you... is live you fool!
I will not be a prophet, for you choose this day, to be alive in life's miracle
Or to perish on the wayside, of destitution and despair. To be alive is a miracle.
No sin is too great, no blaspheme too strong, stay alive, for life's a miracle
And obtain the heavenly treasure buried in the field.
I Don’t Want Fortune; I Want Self Control. I Don’t Want Fame; I Want Peace.
We Struggle Not With Flesh and Blood
The codex to my poetry, is to understand
It through the lens of scripture:
"We struggle not with flesh and blood,"
"Remove the mote in thine own eye
"Before removing the mote in thy brother's."
I purge the demons from my soul
And fight them in mortal combat...
With the armor of God,
The Helmet of Salvation
The Shield of Faith
The Sword of the Word of God and Spirit
The Shoes of the Preparation of the Gospel wherever I may go
The Belt of Truth
The Gauntlets of Charity
The Aegis of Righteousness.
Be careful, when wrestling with demons,
The Wise Sage Dark Philosopher said,
"Lest you become just like them."
Yes, I understand my wicked brother
The demons in you, but what about the demons in me?
Those I shall fight, so I can conquer those like you
With the truth, and kindness, and a tongue of joy and blessing
And wrest my words though you do,
You shall find them formed from a charitable heart.
We war with the princes who wish dominion over us,
Saying, "Take the world, you disgusting Christian
"And we shall satisfy all thy lusts!"
And so we fight, and do no unclean thing.
And are empowered to think no unclean thought.
And though the better angels sit on your right shoulders
And the Devil too, on your left,
The devil whispers unclean things
And the Angel says, "Believe, that's all that you need;
"And then you can do what's truly right."
And so I resist the devil,
And listen to peace...
Oh, Mercy find me! So I am not
In the bonds of bitterness and gall by means of great iniquity.
Another Secret
I come to the evangelist, and he says, "Something isn't right,"
So I come again, and he prays over me
And speaks to confirm my vision, "Walk in the Spirit of Elijah."
