C. S. Lewis couldn’t write a good poem.

Jane Austen had poor grammar.

Tolstoy wouldn’t write poems.

Southey could not write a good short poem.

Hemingway could not write a good short story.

Ray Bradbury couldn’t write a full length novel.

Edgar Allen Poe couldn’t write a happy thought.

J. R. R. Tolkien couldn’t write about anything beside Middle Earth.

J. K. Rowling could only ever write Harry Potter.

Keats never finished a significant piece.

Frank Herbert could only write Dune.

Isaac Asimov wrote limericks in bad taste.

Harper Lee only ever wrote one significant piece.

And I cannot write in modern prose.
