My strongest argument for God

Is that there is good.

When evil is brought into the equation

I don’t shudder.

I know it was invented to kill and afflict the wicked.

When evil happens to the innocent

I know that men, having tasted the fruit,

Can have knowledge of evil,

And therefore, commit their own evil acts.

Rather, the question isn’t whether God exists…

The question is why doesn’t everyone believe on Him?

The reason for this is simple.

Men are built for certain pleasures,

But cruelty itself is a kind of pleasure,

And man tastes it, and doesn’t want to let it go.
