Son of Scylla

So, David had sowed a seed---a king,
And that King was Solomon.
So did Satan once sow a seed,---
And that seed was Death.

By the rape of Bathsheba
Came into the world Solomon.
By the rape of Scylla
Came into the world Death.

Why does God choose one man
And another man He hates?

All do their crimes,---
Yet one is destined to heaven
But the other is destined for hell.

It is an offensive thing,
This cross. Great offense
That two men, having lived one life
One could be sent to paradise;
The other sent to hell.

I suppose that is the very breadth of it.
Two men, exactly the same,
One finds God
While the other, he will not.

What divine messenger spreads God's Word,
It is to one eternal life
So to another it is eternal damnation.

What separates the two, in
All likelihood,
Is the beating heart.
Two men live perfectly symmetrical lives,
All which determines grace or gory pain:
It is that beating thing beneath our chest.

Keep it good, unstained,
Though one had done what David had done,
One will still see eternal life.

The Daemon of the Market

The Shadow Jinn, with the blackened scales in hand
Weighs the copper, silver, gold; he gives and takes.
Whom he bestows glory upon
That man is rich, famous and honored.
Whom he withholds the grains of copper and gold
That man is obscure, and will die.

He controls all prosperity upon the Earth,
With the face of an old man and golden grill.
He is pale like the ashen remnants of fire,
And he is cold as the chilly February ice.

He bestows fortune upon whom he entrusts it,
And he withholds fortune upon whom he will not.

There is a story, old as the ancient days
That an Angel of great might will bind him
In a prison for one thousand years.
At that time, the scales will be in the hand
Of the just---for this Jinn controlled the world
For a time. And it is he who makes man destitute.
It is he who caused all the suffering in the world.

Liberty Watches

Oh, Maria, from sea to shining sea,
From the canyon which the Giant dug,
To the city where thy greenly feet stand;
Songs against thy fat land are proudly sung

As the blackened Cherethim in armies
March across thy fords and burn thy sweet land,
So babes are shot in the streets untimely,
Oh! great black armies make their ghastly stand.

The speech of Maria's chosen do dim,
The cheerful songs of those merry with wine
Do stop in the dead of night; children
Die, of all creeds and runes, those children die---

The black armies of the Cherethim march
The snakes and cockatrices bite venom
Into the hearts of all dared merry men,
Who. from their daily coffers, now are shunned.

Oh, Maria, From Sea to Shining Sea

Black Lives Matter

Sallow silence...
How can I not say "Black Lives Matter"?
How can anyone say it?
Yet, politically charged,
The semantics of the group make it so
That it is pure rhetoric.

Black Lives Matter,
So we must forfeit our fortune...
Our aspirations...
Our futures...
Our freedoms...

To even say this, I know,
Puts me under their condemnation.
Yet, I support the fact that Black Lives Matter.
So much so, that I believe the organization could effect real change.
I see its potential,
To free me from my own bonds.
But, it will not.
Rather, it will take from me everything I've worked for.

To fix the problems,
Abolish criminal records.
For it is not a race that is subjugated,
But those of us who have sinned,
And none will let us regain our footing.
Many blacks live good lives,
And it's because they hadn't gotten into trouble.

Yet, a cop shouldn't harass a black man.
A man should be judged on the content of his character.
There is a certain mien to a bad man
That on black or white,
It can be seen,
And it can be understood that such a man is bad.
Perhaps it is misfortune that brings that mien,
But it is a universal fact.

Judge the content of character,
A lot of character traits can be known at first glance.
It can be known,
So to purge the known,
Purge the criminal records.
Yet, don't abolish the people who protect us.

Freedom of Speech

It's gone.
The corporation can take it from you
By simply lolling you to sleep.
Withdraw the hand that feeds
And one cannot eat.
Extort, so that the only way to earn bread
Is to obey the companies that tell you.

14,000,000 people were killed in the Holocaust.
20,000,000 people were killed in Stalin's Holocaust.
100,000,000 people were killed in Mao's Holocaust.

Children die in war.
When we dropped our bombs, did it only kill men?
Men with helmets?
No, women, children, they died too
When we bombed Germany.

Ask any soldier how to win an occupation?
Kill down to the last child.
If God said to do it once,
Once in all of history.
Then consider the cannibals that they murdered.

Slavery is a punishment inflicted on a nation.
When that nation ritualistically cannibalizes its infants
When that nation sodomizes its child prostitutes
When that society sacrifices little children
I think putting them to work is a mitigated sentence.

God does, in fact, destroy.
He will bring plauges.
And those plagues comfort me.
What else is to be done to a nation of murderers
Who smear Fetus over their skin
To stay healthy?
Who barter the blood of infants
For their products?

Why is what is about to happen will happen?
Because there is no right and wrong
To this generation.
Murder is good, if it's in the name of Anarchy and violence.
But, God's war is far too viscous.

The Crusades were defensive wars,
To protect against invaders.
Ask any Muslim whether it is justified to defend your territory
At a cost of human life.
Americans piously drop bombs in Iraq
And burst women and children's flesh
Yet it is only unethical if it's a sword.
Let the children wander in their war zones...
Because that's right.

YouTube is censoring this information.
It's the cold hard truths.
War, the more violent side wins.
That's why we don't fight them.
That's why there are nation states
Which give bounds, so remove not the ancient boundaries.

What is wicked is waging war with kids gloves
So an entire continent suffers.
What is immoral is marching armies
With the thought that war can be fought reserved...
Meanwhile, children lose everything, and get indoctrinated.

Ask any soldier about those verses in the Bible
That talk about war.
Those who have killed a child, for in war everything is justified.
That is why one ought not fight it.

War is wicked, because believe in the Bible
And it makes war the most wicked thing in the world.
That is why God is moral.
Because He doesn't make war glorious.
He doesn't make war anything but what it is...
Supreme evil.
And with that, it is why the Law of War brings me comfort
That it ought not be fought in our day and age.

And all of this is censored on Your Television.

Existential Structure

A story needs to feel long

Even when it’s only a few minutes.

I don’t know how else to explain a good story.

The good ones always feel longer than they actually are.

The shorter a story is,

The less it feels like it is long…

It could be 500 pages, and still feel short

It’s not very good.

I’ve seen it in modern movies that

There is more action than story.

But it’s not so simple as that.

A good story connects well

It moves from sequence to sequence

Making sense in existential structure.

That is a term meaning something’s coherency

When time is being explained.

As, a story is just writing with time woven through its element.

You want to make a story that feels long

And connects from point A to point B

Logically, and sequentially.

It’s what makes a good story.

The longer the story feels;—

Even if it’s only a couple hundred words—

The better the story often is.

Because it can, as a matter of fact

Connect well with its audiences,

And bring them coherent ideas

In a structure of time.

That is called “Existential Structure.”

Modern movies suck for this reason

That the structure of the stories don’t make sense.

There is no moral, there is only plot.

No thematic elements.

The story moves, borrowing new archetypal materials

From previously established fictions.

It assumes we’ve already watched the hours worth of material

Needed to understand the plots fully.

This is why people enjoy Television more.

It works slower,

Connects plot points slower.

Television plots out points over several episodes

Making it more enjoyable to watch.

With reading, it is doubly important.

Because with reading, one must follow the event patterns

Of rise, fall, rise, fall, climax.

This simple structure builds the most enjoyable stories.

However, better than that are slices of life

Where there is only the story of life…

A reader has to be cultured to dare it.

Many people do not understand the enjoyable nature of a story

That is about life in her complexities.

Complexities, simple day to day life is healthy.

War and Peace, Anna Karenina, Pride and Prejudice,

These stories are ones filled with ideas about life.

It’s interesting. Especially to pleasantly reverie among

The author’s moral suppositions

But our modern readers find it boring because they do not agree with the morals.

Often, the morals prove themselves accurate.

As, it is really the moral of a story that makes it feel long or short.

A good moral can create constancy among the whole work of art

Fusing it together with sensibility,

And well thought out patterns.

It is unhindered, uncensored,

Yet, the ramifications prove themselves true.

Funny thing, is that most families remind me of Anna’s family

In Anna Karenina.

It offends the atheist not because it is “False”

But because it reflects back at them something unflattering about themselves.

The truth that the moral situation caused by divorce

Resembles that of Anna’s and her superficial entourage.

It becomes clear that in the household of divorcees

There is a falsehood being lived out

And it attracts strange individuals

Almost parasitic.

A good moral does this,

Where it is held true because it is true.

The disagreement is that it offends.

Nothing more.

But, without that offensive thing we call a moral

The tales we spin are nothing more than schizophrenic messes

Never making heads or tails…

It becomes incomprehensible.

Which is another proof of moral,

How when we have bad ones,

The story seems to dishevel itself because it had not entered through by the gatekeeper.

It feels shorter.

Advice to Young Writers

If you are writing for yourself

And it is something different then everyone else,

But you still desire to get paid…

You will hear time and time again,

“Write what sells, and then try to sell your writing then.”

It does not work.

Stefani Germanotta did a series of hits

And when she attempted to woo her true love,

You’d know the hits, but not of it

That she did.

For, her reputation was already made

To be a monster made by fame.

Write, instead, what is true to you.

Do not sell out,

For then you are a fool.
