A dish of vegetables

Goes into a kiln

At a low heat.

If one takes the vegetables

Out too early

They are not to the tooth.

So, when the vegetables come out

And are hard to the tooth,

They go back into the kiln.

 

So are the sons of men;

With affliction they are made wise

So that they are palpable to the tooth.
